Our imported vegetable tanned latigo is a firm strap grade latigo with a limited degree of stretch. Latigo leather has exceptional strength and durability, which make it ideal for itility straps, bags and any tough outdoor gear. It's also used for horse gear applications such as reins, stirrups, tie downs and lace. After tanning, sides are drum dyed, then dipped in hot oils and hand rubbed to a beautiful finish. Sides average 22 sq. ft.

This leather has a deep richness because it has been treated with oils, waxes and dyes in such a way that when the leather is pulled or stretched, the finish becomes lighter in the stretched areas. That gives an “Old World” effect or “Aged” look. The color returns when light heat is applied or friction created from rubbing a cloth or your hand in the area. This is considered a mark of high quality. This durable leather is pefect for chaps, purses, moccasins, saddle strings, tie straps, lining for tack and much more. Sides average 22 to 25 sq. ft. 4 to 4.5 oz.

These cowhide sides are drum dyed for uniform color on both flesh and grain surfaces. They have a hair cell grain making them ideal for saddle bags, holsters, straps and belts, and you can emboss or stamp this top grain, vagetable tanned cowhide. These black finished sides average 22 to 24 sq. ft.
